Join the Community

Diplomacy has a vibrant and supportive global community. We may be competitive, manipulative, and even dastardly, but we are all here to have fun. Hobby legend Edi Birsan may have described the community best when he said “I would trust these people with my mortgage payment – but not to support me into Belgium!”

Play Diplomacy

Face-To-Face

Form alliances and unhatch traitorous plots as you look your opponents in the eye over a physical game board. Communication is in-person, turns typically take between 10 – 15 minutes, and games often last between 4 – 8 hours.

Extended Deadline

Negotiate and outwit your opponents using a website, email, or other adjudication software. Communication is usually written, turns typically take between 24 – 72 hours, and games often last several months.

Virtual Face-To-Face

Balance cooperation and competition in a hybrid format that combines adjudication software and face-to-face timing rules.  Communication is usually by voice or video from a computer, turns typically take between 5 – 15 minutes, and games often last between 3 – 8 hours.
