Seven Years War Virtual League (April 27, 2025)
How to Play
- Click here for the Virtual Word Diplomacy Community Discord Server
- Go to the “roles” channel and select the Seven Years War role by clicking on the European Union flag
- Go to the “general-chat” channel to sign-up for a game
League Overview
- The aim is to have a game day every month from January to December.
- Each game day will be hosted by either the Dutch, the French or the German hobby, with a board in the host language and at least one international board in English.
- All international games count towards the standings. The Dutch, German, French, and the Scandinavian (Swedish/Norwegian) games count towards the standing if the GM communicates that with the board of organizers at least two days before the game.
- The games are played via Discord.
- The games finish after a unanimous draw (secret voting via GM), at a solo victory or after the year 1907 has been played.

- A player’s total score is calculated by the following formula: sum of scores / (number of games + 4)
- After the game day in December, the seven highest ranked players will play for the league championship on a top board (country selection via the Paris method).
- Ties will be broken in the following order:
- Numbers of games a player sat out because there were more players present than spots on boards available (the more the better)
- The highest score in an individual game (the higher the better)
- Numbers of games played (the more the better)
- Randomized decision
- To qualify for the top board, a player needs to have played at least two games.
- The player who tops the top board will win the league (tie breaker by inverted selection order of the countries).
- The places two to seven will be decided by adding the qualifying score times four to the score of the top board.
- The final results will count towards the qualification standings of the Diplomacy Broadcast Invitational (https://diplobn.com/invitational/).
- For all games, the vWDC-code-of-conduct applies: code-of-conduct A violation of it can lead to being banned from further participation in the league.
